Key Responsibilities
As an SDE on the Federal Cloud Platform Engineering team, you will:

Manage and Optimize Deployments: Oversee and enhance Workday’s technology stack in air-gapped U.S. AWS cloud regions, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.

Develop Deployment Tools: Create and maintain tools and analytics to support flexible and cost-effective deployments across the organization.

Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with the Workday Federal Cyber Defense team to ensure security operations and compliance with federal requirements.

Drive Innovation: Contribute to the development and implementation of new technologies to improve deployment processes and system performance.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Security Clearance: Possess a valid and active TS/SCI with CI polygraph security clearance.

Experience: Minimum of 4 years in deploying large-scale, complex applications, with at least 3 years in cloud-based deployments on AWS or GCP.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in automation tools and languages such as Ansible, Python, Go, Chef, and Puppet.

Infrastructure Knowledge: Experience with networks, servers, storage, and operating systems in cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are advantageous:

Orchestration and Automation: Extensive experience in developing orchestration and automation frameworks using tools like Ansible and Jenkins.

Network Analysis: Skilled in network analysis and troubleshooting using tools like tcpdump.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $135,200 – $202,900 per year, depending on experience and location.
