Job Summary
The Senior Bookkeeper will play a vital role in managing the organization’s financial records, ensuring compliance with financial procedures, and supporting programmatic operations with accurate financial data. The ideal candidate should be proactive, highly skilled in accounting tools, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks or similar software

Prepare monthly financial reports and cash flow statements

Reconcile bank statements and track expenses

Manage payroll and staff reimbursements

Ensure compliance with donor and internal financial guidelines

Assist in preparing for audits and financial reviews

Liaise with external accountants or consultants as required
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum of 3 years experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role

Experience working with NGOs or donor-funded projects is a plus

Proficiency in QuickBooks or other accounting software

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
