Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), also known as Doctors Without Borders, is an international humanitarian organization providing medical aid to populations in distress. Since 1996, MSF has been operating in Nigeria, delivering emergency healthcare to those affected by crises. MSF is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning and Development Manager to join their team in Sokoto.
Role Overview
As the Learning and Development Manager, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and implementing the learning and development strategy for MSF’s mission in Nigeria. Your primary goal will be to enhance the capabilities of MSF staff and external collaborators to achieve the mission’s operational objectives effectively.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the HR Coordinator to develop and execute the learning and development strategy aligned with MSF’s mission and objectives.

Training & Development: Identify learning needs and design training programs to address skill gaps. Implement onboarding programs and continuous professional development initiatives.

Performance Management: Advise and support managers in applying performance management processes, including setting objectives and conducting evaluations.

Talent Management: Develop and promote activities to identify and nurture talent within the organization, ensuring a sustainable staffing model.

Monitoring & Evaluation: Track the effectiveness of learning and development activities and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience

Education: Degree in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Organizational Development, or a related field.

Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a learning and development role, preferably within an international or humanitarian organization.

Skills: Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, training design and delivery, and performance management systems.

Languages: Proficiency in English is essential.
