Key Responsibilities
As a Personal Assistant, your primary role will be to efficiently manage and support the Deputy High Commissioner (DHC) and Deputy Head of Mission (DHM) in their daily activities. Your responsibilities will include:

Diary and Travel Management: Effectively organizing and coordinating the DHC and DHM’s schedules, ensuring optimal use of their time. This includes arranging complex travel itineraries and accommodations.

Event Coordination: Collaborating with the Residence Manager to plan and execute official events and functions hosted by the DHC/DHM. This involves sending out invitations, monitoring RSVPs, and ensuring smooth event logistics.

Correspondence Handling: Receiving, prioritizing, and responding to official correspondences, ensuring timely and appropriate communication.

Meeting Support: Recording meetings and drafting minutes for Senior Leadership Team meetings, Lagos Joint Management Board sessions, and other key discussions.

Team Management: Line managing and developing the DHC’s drivers, ensuring efficient transportation arrangements.

Visitor Reception: Welcoming visitors to the Deputy High Commission and providing assistance as needed.

Salary and Benefits
The position offers a competitive monthly salary of USD$1,576.87. In addition to the salary, the British High Commission provides learning and development opportunities, both formal and informal. Employees may also receive training for official travel within Nigeria, including first aid and travel planning.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position with standard office hours from Monday to Friday. While the role is primarily office-based, there may be occasional flexibility to work from home. Some evening and weekend work may be required to support the DHC and wider High Commission functions.
