Who You Are

Canonical is looking for someone who:

Key Responsibilities

  • Build responsive web interfaces using HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, React, and TypeScript

  • Maintain and update existing websites and web applications

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and developers to implement outstanding user experiences

  • Contribute to the Vanilla Framework, Canonical’s open-source design system

  • Ensure accessibility, performance, and SEO best practices across all projects

  • Participate in regular code reviews, updates, and style guide improvements

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS (SCSS), and JavaScript

  • Working knowledge of React, TypeScript, and component libraries

  • Experience with Git or similar version control systems

  • Understanding of web performance and SEO

  • Commitment to accessibility and cross-browser support

  • EMEA time zone availability

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
