Premium Edible Oil Products Limited (PEOPL), a subsidiary of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, is one of Nigeria’s largest processors and refiners of crude palm oil, palm kernel, and soybean. The company is renowned for consistently producing a range of high-quality edible oil consumer products, including Golden Penny Vegetable Oil, Soya Oil, Spread, and Margarine.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Cost Accountant to join our team in Ibadan, Oyo State. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial efficiency and strategic planning of a leading company in the edible oil industry.
As a Supply Chain Cost Accountant at PEOPL, your primary duties will include:
Cost Analysis & Reporting:Analyze and report on supply chain costs, including raw material procurement, warehousing, and logistics.
Budgeting & Forecasting:Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for supply chain operations.
Cost Control Measures:Implement and maintain cost control measures to minimize waste and inefficiencies.
Inventory Valuation:Oversee inventory valuation and ensure accurate recording of inventory costs.
Cost Accounting Systems:Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
Financial Insights:Provide financial insights to support decision-making processes.
Compliance & Internal Controls:Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
Educational Background:A BSc in Accounting, Finance, or any related discipline.
Professional Certification:Membership of ICAN, ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent is an added advantage.
Experience:A minimum of 5 years’ cognate experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to identify cost savings opportunities.
Attention to Detail:A keen eye for detail to ensure accurate data and reports.
Supply Chain Knowledge:Familiarity with the entire supply chain process, from raw materials to finished goods, including logistics, transportation, and warehousing.
