The African Development Bank (AfDB), Africa’s premier pan-African development institution, is seeking a Short-Term Web Assistant to support its digital content initiatives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Bank’s mission of promoting economic growth and social progress across the continent.

Key Responsibilities

As a Short-Term Web Assistant, you will:

  • Web Content Management: Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining web pages promptly to ensure timely dissemination of information.

  • SEO Optimization: Support efforts to improve search engine optimization (SEO) to enhance the visibility of the Bank’s content online.

  • Content Organization: Aid in tagging and categorizing documents according to the Bank’s document typology for proper organization.

  • Multimedia Content Formatting: Format images, banners, and multimedia content for web pages or articles, adjusting size and resolution as necessary.

  • Content Posting: Help post press releases, event announcements, and videos across all platforms (Web, Intranet, Extranet) with appropriate tags.

  • Technical Support: Provide web assistance to the Communication and External Relations Department to enhance digital presence.

Qualifications & Experience

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.

  • Experience: At least 4 years of relevant and practical experience in web content management and optimization.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and content management systems.

  • Multimedia Skills: Experience in graphic design and multimedia content creation.

  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in English or French, with a good working knowledge of the other language.

  • Citizenship: Proof of citizenship or evidence of permanent residency or work authorization in Côte d’Ivoire.
