About NWTF & the Opportunity

Founded in 2011, NWTF is a women’s political action organization dedicated to increasing women’s representation in Nigerian governance and policy-making through research, mentorship, and advocacy initiatives. As part of its gender-inclusion programming, the organization is seeking a consultant to strengthen its digital and visual systems.

Role Responsibilities

As the ICT Consultant & Graphic Designer, you will:

  • Design and develop software solutions that support NWTF’s advocacy, data tracking (especially around the 35% Affirmative Action campaign), and stakeholder engagement systems.

  • Craft stunning visual assets using CorelDRAW, Adobe Suite, video editing tools, and creative layouts for campaigns, reports, and digital media.

  • Build or maintain websites (WordPress, HTML/CSS) and manage digital platforms to enhance NWTF’s visibility and outreach.

  • Provide technical support, troubleshoot software issues, and document systems architecture, API specs, and user manuals.

  • Train NWTF team members on software use, graphic design best practices, and digital content deployment.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Graphic Design or equivalent experience.

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in software development and digital design, preferably in NGO or development sectors.

  • Proficiency with programming languages (Node.js, Python, Java, PHP, SQL) and design tools (Adobe Suite, CorelDRAW, video editing).

  • Solid understanding of gender and political advocacy contexts in Nigeria.

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.

Duration & Remuneration

  • Contract Length: Approximately 2 months (consultancy basis).

  • Location: Primarily remote, with possible on-site visits to Abuja.

  • Compensation: Negotiable and competitive within the NGO/CSO sector.
