Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the 2025/2026 NDDC Postgraduate Scholarship, applicants must:

Be indigenes of the Niger Delta Region (States include: Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo, Rivers, Abia)
Not be older than 40 years
Possess a First Class, Second Class Upper or Lower Degree, or HND with Upper Credit + PGD from a recognized Nigerian institution
Hold an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
Secure admission into a Nigerian university for a Master’s program in one of the approved disciplines

Selection Process

The scholarship selection involves multiple transparent stages:

Online Application through the NDDC portal
Shortlisting based on WASSCE, degree classification, local government identification
Computer-Based Test (CBT) at designated centers in Akwa Ibom, Delta, and Rivers
Minimum CBT Score: Applicants must score at least 70%
Oral Interview for high-performing candidates
Final Verification by Local Government and Community Development Committees (CDCs)
